Position Summary:

As an Account Executive (AWS), you will be an instrumental part of identifying and closing cloud solution opportunities for customers who are planning to move from on- premises to cloud. You’ll collaborate with technical specialists and internal sales teams in helping customers navigate licensing, migration, and optimization planning.

Your emphasis will be on qualifying cloud use cases, crafting solution proposals, and driving business growth in mid-market and enterprise accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Qualify and prospect organizations that are considering cloud migration or hybrid cloud adoption.
  • Handle the complete sales cycle from initial contact and requirements gathering through solution development and deal closure.
  • Attend discovery meetings to determine cloud workloads, data hosting needs, and licensing requirements.
  • Develop tailored proposals with a focus on cloud services.
  • Work in conjunction with internal solution engineers and licensing specialists to ensure consistency in technical and commercial alignment.
  • Record deal activity, pipeline movement, and communications accurately on the CRM platform.
  • Support webinars, virtual demos, and customer-presented presentations to promote cloud value and vCloud Tech capabilities.
  • Meet or surpass revenue quotas and key performance indicators (KPIs) as assigned.
  • Collaborate with AWS presales technical teams to match customer requirements with technical capabilities and inform strategy.
  • Manage and develop customer relationships to drive long-term growth.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to AWS, promoting their solutions and backing sales activation efforts and demand generation initiatives.
  • Keep abreast of AWS products, services, and industry trends via constant training and self-study.
  • Identify high-profile and high-potential accounts with the Sales Manager to explore upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Possess in-depth product knowledge to be able to educate and assist customers through complicated cloud offerings.
  • Monitor, track, and report on leads, opportunities, pipeline status, and overall territory performance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in cloud sales, preferably with a focus on AWS solutions.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing, hybrid environments, and licensing models.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in CRM platforms for pipeline and deal management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • AWS certifications (preferred but not required).

Salary Range:

$55,000 – $92,000 (dependent on experience and geography)
